New Mercedes A class 2018
New model of Mercedes Benz A class will be shown in Geneva Auto Show next month.
It will be modified last model of A class. But this one with more aggressive look, front lights will be changed. From the photos i have seen in sneak peek the biggest change will be in the interior. It will have some new stuff on the dashboard, but for me the new things don't mean the good changes.
First of all this car is hatchback, but in premium brands. The class which could be compared with it are Audi A3 Sportback and BMW 1 Series. That are all for my opinion expensive cars, (if you comapre it with Golf or Ford Focus).
To be honest A class is extremely changed through the years. If you look in the past, old A class (egg model) that car was piece of s*** for me, but people were buying it cause Mercedes is a brand.

But lets look at the current model, and the 2018 model.
The year that changed A class in good way was 2012, it was completely changed model. More aggressive lines and new fresh look.
The new 2018 A class will have more sharper nose, and LED headlights, which will be more aggressive, angry look. It will be more aerodynamic which will reduce fuel consumption. Some models will be fitted with active front grille which openes or closes depends of winter or summer, which will keep engine better cooled.
The boot will be 20 cm wider which is really good thing considering that is hatchback, in which every cm means a lot. Space is for some people key factor.
Lets get inside, it is the whole new world!
It is completely new world, technology, technology, technology. To be honest when i saw this picture i thought that is probably Tesla model or Rimac Concept One.
It is the Mercedes Benz with biggest amount of tech for me, dashboard with two infotainment screens. It is two 7.5 inch screens, but if you want the 10 inch are optional. For me it will be too much but, who likes likes.. One screen is digital display with driving options like speed, rpm, fuel, and second screen is touch screen for car menus.
For me that look is more for some electric cars, i am more like old school car fanatic. But considering the people who will buy this car (more younger buyers) it is a good move.
Engines will be Petrol and Diesel obviously. I have found some specs on the internet: The petrol range starts with the A200, which is a 1.4-litre 163hp engine that can switch half of its cylinders off at a cruise to save on fuel – Mercedes claims it’ll get 55mpg. It’ll come with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Next up is the A250, a 2.0-litre petrol with 224hp. It comes only with the automatic gearbox, and can get from 0-62mph in 6.2 seconds, making it the fastest A-Class available at launch.
The only diesel option at launch is the A180d, a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 116hp. It’s automatic only, and Mercedes claims it’ll get a whopping 69mpg.
