RE: A kitten is found alive and rescued
I always listen to the news while I work. The situation in Colombia is very regrettable ; there are many injured and dead. Animals and people have been rescued, but some haven't been so lucky. It's said that many are missing. It's a truly lamentable situation. Even I sometimes feel the apartment shaking while I'm working. Watching the news and staying informed makes my brain work, and it's not pleasant to live with constant anxiety. Sometimes I think about all the effort we put into getting what we need, and then suddenly it's all lost. Life is cruel, but let's have faith in the Holy Spirit; He never lets us down.
A big hug, and take good care of yourself, and of course, take care of your parents.
Life teaches us some lessons; it shows us that we must seize every second. Death is inevitable; all that's left is to try to be alert to what might happen. At the time of the earthquake, I was in my mother's apartment. When we felt it, we all got out very quickly. Then we called each member of the family. We're all okay, but as you say, life isn't peaceful. In fact, I activated the system on my cell phone that alerts me to a new earthquake 10 seconds beforehand. I hope there won't be any warning; I don't want to go through this experience again. Let's trust in God, but life isn't the same anymore. I also feel like everything is moving, a constant unease.
