Meet the White Kitten Named Ori
The saddest moment of my life was when my best friend died, with me unable to save him. He was a white cat named Link and he was glorious, so beautiful, gentle and graceful. And also remarkably human in his behaviours, a truly rare cat, like an old and wise soul, it still breaks my heart to know that he is gone.
Quite a while after he died, we let Link's sister Zelda have kittens, it was our first time having our house filled with kittens and it was both funny, amazing and chaotic.
Zelda is also such a wonderful and purrfect cat by the way. She started birthing her kittens while laying between us in bed in the middle of the night. We quickly found them a box to lay in. As the days passed by I fell in love with them, to the point when I just wanted to keep them all. But in the end we decided for the white one which we named Ori, he totally found his way into our hearts, and he was a boy, which was what we wanted, and we have had white cats for 10 years.
Luckily two of the other kittens got adopted by our friend Nolemire, and I'm sure they could not have gotten a better home! The last one went to live with another family as well. I miss them all, but having two cats is perfect I think.
Look how Zelda protectively shelter her kittens with her paws!
This is Ori. Such a charming fellow!
They were frequently to be found in the bottom of the laundry basket.
Cuteness overload.
Growing bigger.
The look Zelda is giving Ori cracks me up!
The gang.
Ok but look how lucky I was with this picture, everyone looking in the camera AND sitting still at the same time :O
You know, cats can be so hard to photograph. They do exactly as they please.
I wish they were still as good friends.
Loving his goofy look here.
He keeps growing bigger. Now he is far larger than his mother and every other cat we ever had. I'm sure he will show up in future posts as well, then you will se how much he has grown.
So blessed with yet again having two white, cuddly and lovely cats living with us!
Life with cats is amazing, or what do you think?

Cats that live together sometimes rub each others heads to show that they have no intention of fighting. Young cats do this more often, especially when they are excited.
The first cat in space was a French cat named Felicette (a.k.a. “Astrocat”) In 1963, France blasted the cat into outer space. Electrodes implanted in her brains sent neurological signals back to Earth. She survived the trip.
Most cats sleep around 16 hours a day
A kitten will typically weigh about 3 ounces at birth. The typical male housecat will weigh between 7 and 9 pounds, slightly less for female housecats.
Awww so cute!
