Cats killed for meat in Vietnam
Reading this was heartbreaking. No creature deserves this. Some people may say that it is their culture and the West kills chickens and cows. Yes, but not like this. Believing in the 21st century that eating cats and dogs gives some kind of health benefit or whatever is shocking and I don't understand why the new generation is Vietnam is not reacting to this.

Asian culture is one of tradition, my asian friends don’t care enough to go against the grain. On top of that most of them being 2nd generation immigrants won’t have pets so this idea of it being wrong is surreal to them
benefit: dog meat is actually tasty
I dont see why we should discriminate dogs and cats not to be eaten and cows and chicken to be eaten. I mean westerners eat cute Rabbits. I do believe though that we all need to reduce our consumption of meat not because of the animals, but because of the environment. I rarely eat meat.
Also not everyone eats cats or dogs there, just a few. Less people for sure than there are western people eating rabbits. For me it was an interesting experience though as a tourist.
