Two sentence sadness

"You've just got a stuffy nose, just hang in there, everything's going to be fine" I said, in between tears while driving my 15 year old orange cat to the vet. Had I taken him to the vet when I saw one pupil was much bigger than the other months ago, maybe we could've caught his cancer in time, instead of making that the day we had to say goodbye.
