I love that they are such good friends. We had a Golden Retriever and a cat who were also very good friends. I still remember the golden taking a nap laying on his side with all four legs stretched straight out and the cat would go over and lay beside the dog in exactly the same pose. It looked like such an unnatural position for a cat to sleep in. When the dog died the cat would not leave the spot where the dog had last been for weeks. It was heartbreaking to see.

Luci and Walter lay together mirroring each other too sometimes. Its cute to see and since they have simular coats its real cute. Glad you got to enjoy and see the dogs and cats getting along. Yeah thats sad to hear, I bet they were really good friends. Thanks for telling me about that, glad to hear others have seen animals be companions too.
They were good friends. The retriever was 16 years old when he died, and the cat had been around for many of those years. They definitely had a strong bond, just like Luci and Walter.
