Searching
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and many people are already searching for the perfect gift
The most common gift is a bouquet of flowers, at least that's what I've seen, but what I like about all this is NOT just the celebration, it's the way people can make money ,it's definitely a way to try to make a profit.
Many people prepare by arranging flower bouquets; the idea is to generate income on a day that for some is a date to celebrate love, and for these people is an opportunity to generate economic income.
In conclusion : It's a day when many people obviously win in different ways. I've seen that the theme of love sells, marketing simply adds some subtle touches. So, those who celebrate and those who take advantage of the day to generate income are ready to celebrate.

Felipe, Sofia suggested I give you a gift, and I decided to give you SBD. Please don't return them ,we know what you're like. It's a gift with lots of love from us. I'm sending them today because tomorrow Sofia and I are celebrating. We're going out for lunch and then traveling.
Take good care of yourself. We love you very much.

In Colombia, some people celebrate this day, but not everyone. Those who do see it as a day of love and friendship, however, they celebrate love and friendship in September. I think that's fine . A celebration is synonymous with happiness, and being happy is something we strive for, and in this life we have many more sad moments than happy ones, well, at least I do.
Thank you so much. You know me very well. I saw the exchange. It's a lot of Steem, and you work really hard to get it. It's not fair, but oh well, thank you. Have a wonderful day tomorrow. Celebrate and enjoy it with your Sofia . I know I'm a bit of a complicated guy, but I'm very, very loyal to genuine people.
There's always a business side of things for every celebration.

Exactly
Love and every holiday is indeed a major source of income. You see this with Christmas, New Year's Eve, Easter, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Animal Day, and so on, even International Peanut Butter Day.
For us, the day has never really caught on. Most people will forget it, and no one will be deeply hurt. You won't find any Valentine's Day items in most shops either, at most one artificial rose or a few small trinkets.
Regarding flowers: I think there's only one florist left in the village, and the flowers are horribly expensive. It's quite strange for a country that grows a lot of flowers, but here too, the price is deliberately kept high (when there's a lot of supply, the price normally drops, but the auction simply throws away most of the flowers the growers bring).
I think that when it comes to love, this should always be reflected in behavior. I don't think I can live off a bunch of flowers given to me on Valentine's Day for a year. I don't think my memory is good enough for that. I also don't think it's a sign of love. I'd rather have something other than a bouquet made by someone else.
By the way, Valentine's Day was/is the day we secretly send someone a token of love. That's usually a note or a card. I think the rest has also come over from America, where people apparently make a scene if their partner forgets to buy or organize something (expensive).
I wish you a lovely evening and a fantastic weekend on Friday the 13th!

I agree, daily behavior is what really shows love, and at the same time receiving little gift this or better anyother day feels good
Oh, yes, that's true. This day is crazy here, and any little thing is going to be expensive because as lupega says many people take the moment to make some money, for sure there are people who believe the more expensive the gift is, the greater the feeling, many are just pretending they love, and many are just taking advantage
I've seen people focused on this day, they're preparing to sell their bouquets of flowers accompanied by teddy bears, and now dogs and cats too. I don't know why people are so dedicated to these animals. They forget about themselves. Animals need humans, not the other way around, but it seems they forget that. But as I always say, everyone decides for themselves, and that's respectable. This day is a great opportunity for those who can make a profit; it seems like a better way to celebrate.
Same here, I ended up preparing for my Valentine even though I didn't want to 😂
Mine was a very beautiful green book—spent hours cramming formulas just to pour them out before her (an exam 🤣). So I guess we were both preparing, just in different ways.
But you're right, this day really moves people—some preparing flowers and teddy bears, others preparing their brains to survive. Everyone's got their own Valentine's hustle 💪
Happy Valentine's Day!
