Blackmail

The beauty of the film Ransom is that the father is blackmailed and asked for a ransom if he wants to see his son again. I think it's a brilliant idea that the father turns the tables by putting a high price on the kidnapper's head. Of course, the kidnapper also thinks he is very clever, so in the end, when he is hunted down like a wild animal and sees no way out, he decides to claim the ransom himself and return the child. In itself, this is not such a strange idea, because money is money and it doesn't matter what you call it.

Another person accused of blackmail is Trump. What a disappointment that man is, and I'm really wondering at this point whether he too is suffering from Alzheimer's. I also wonder what it would be like if all the countries in the world that have had to deal with the same country that always attacks them formed a united front. What if all those countries now formed a united front and did the same thing he wants to do right now (no, not taking Greenland, and Venezuela and Cuba, and Colombia and Iran and and and...) and divided up America and stole the last M&Ms from the country?
Of course, you can say what you want, but it's always the same country that supposedly needs something else to protect itself (lying is also a profession). Strangely enough, that country is never Russia. Has anyone ever thought about that?

Blackmail, as one of our ministers called it, blackmail when Trump announced that a number of countries in Europe (no, not the EU) would have to pay higher import taxes. These countries are: Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, France and England because they support Denmark/Greenland. Now I wonder if that will have any effect. Let's be honest, Germany is the industrial powerhouse of Europe, the Netherlands is the breadbasket, and we can easily find other markets for our products. Sometimes I think that the measures Trump takes only backfire on his own country, as we saw when he took measures against Russia. The result? The emergence of BRICS and certainly not Russia on the brink of collapse.
The same trick that Trump is now pulling on the eight countries mentioned above, he has of course already tried on India and China, and we all know what China did in response. Interestingly, Trump seems to have greater appreciation for leaders who do not allow themselves to be manipulated or blackmailed by him. Or is it that he admires strong personalities who are in control?

I'm glad to see there are still people with ideas that go against the prevailing current of thought. The world needs to wake up from so much fake news and manipulation. A truly good person who advocates for peace doesn't turn a blind eye and allow the continued bombing of defenseless people.

Clearly, we'll have a full-fledged Hitler, much more dangerous, since current weapons can turn the earth to dust several times over.

I don't think the world will ever wake up; that's impossible. We mustn't forget that we've all been brainwashed by the news we've been fed since childhood. Schools are a very good example of this. History also changes over time and is supposedly seen and told through the eyes of the people of today. The perspective changes, whether intentionally or not. I'm going to go with intentional, because spreading hatred is also clearly part of the Western world. There always has to be one the bad guy, so that another can appear good. After the Second World War, we also said: never again. Well, we are doing exactly the same thing and we have continued to do exactly the same thing. Even agreements made have never been honoured; they are trampled underfoot.

Perhaps the world will only wake up in those final split seconds as the bomb explodes in its face. 'Never again' is just hollow speech— same thing happening with old patterns in dressed up in new terms, clever ruses and twisted justification.

We seem to live in a world where the 'peacemakers' are the ones dropping the bombs, so it’s no surprise that 'diplomacy' has devolved into the art of stealing someone else’s badge of honor. Apparently, if you throw a large enough tantrum and pull the right strings, you get to wear the medal—even if someone else’s name is engraved on it.

Trump is an extremely arrogant man , he is shrewd, but sometimes he makes strange decisions.

Sometimes or always or are his strings pulled?

With enough smoke and mirrors, you can dress up blackmail to look exactly like diplomacy
