SLC S28 Week4 - Company value - Bridges, tunnels, vehicle renewal

Assalamualaikum my fellows I hope you will be fine by the grace of Allah.

I am participating in the video game OpenTTD challenge by @sergeyk. I like to play games but I started playing this game for the first time while participating in the challenge. I hope I will learn and showcase my work through this challenge.

🚂 Task 1 🚂

I opened n-ice.org servers. I am going to join server 5. This server has a long goal.

How long the game has been running on the server (you can see this before connecting in the server list)

The game is running for 9 hour and 13 minutes on the server.

Which players are playing, what are their results?

Four transport companies are working on this server to achieve the long goal.

The values and inaugurtion of the companies can be seen in the above picture. All players are trying their best and they have earned handsome amount of profit.

This is teh progress report of all the players. Sisu and HowieRox has achieved 2%. Both other players are still at 0%. Th game is going to run long because more than 9 hours have been passed but still two players have achieved only 2% of the goal.

Who do you think is experienced and who is not?

There are two experienced players. According to my observation Sisu and HowieRox are the experienced players.

From all these players joslud looks like not an experinced person as they all have because he joined game at first than all other players but still the value of his company is far less than their's.

Explore what they transport and with what vehicles. Who do you think will win this game?

Both the big players are using planes and vehicles. They are transporting mails from one place to the other place. Maybe mails generate more money that is why they are transporting only mails from one place to the other place. It is possible they are completing a task because they are only using planes and mail trucks.

These players are transporting mails, passengers, coal, woods, and valubles. These are using trains and vehicles. They are not using planes.

I will say Sisu will win this game. The value of his company is increasing rapidly and he is achieving the goal earlier than al other players.

What new things did you see that you had not seen before?

This is something new for me which I do not know about and I am curious to build it when I will play the game this time. I do not know whether it appears automatically or the players build it by themselves. It looks amazing.

🚂 Task 2 🚂

I have joined the same server for the completion of next task but this time the game has started again and more players are in the game.

I joined it in May 2008. In the game there are many players. There are total 8 transport companies in this game server.

I started my transport company. I built bus stations in Slugspool city and the next city. At first I bought 5 Mps Regal Buses. These are the oldest buses in game.

Similarly I made some cargo stations to deliver mails between two towns. I bought 5 Mps Mail Trucks. These are also oldest mail trucks.

Then I started a train to pick woods and unload them at sawmill. On two points I made tunnels. It is my first time to make tunnels. I do not have experience to make tunnels. I need to explore and research on tunnels more. I felt I could not make tunnels wherever I wanted but on specific places.

I also tried making tunnels for simple road where vehicles can run. This is a long tunnel. Road vehicles are running smoothly. They are passing from tunnel easily.

I saw a field. I wanted to get corn and livestock from that field and deliver it to factory. On the way there is no ground but water. I made a high speed bridge. Train will pass 257 km per hour from this bridge.

My railway track got road in its way. I made a 64 km per hour bridge on the road. It is slow speed bridge.

I made two railways tracks. I made another high speed bridge with the already made bridge. I run two trains. One train to pick only corn and one train to pick only livestock.

🚂 Task 3 🚂

I am sending this vehicle to depot and I will sell this vehicle and I will check if the number and the orders remain same or not.

I sold this old Mps Regal Bus in the depot. I bought a new bus immediately after selling it. The number of the bus is same. The orders of the bus are also same. Manual update of the vehicles by sending them to depot and selling them and buying new one does not impact the orders and number. The tasks are preserved.

I am replacing vehicles automatically. I have 5 Mps Regal Buses and I am changing to the lastest bus which Foster Mkl Superbus.

Regal Buses are replaced with Foster Mkl Superbus. The regal buses are looking colourless. I have also started the replacement of other old vehicles including mail vehicles, wood trucks and other.

I have created 5 groups of the vehicles.

• Grains Trucks include all grain vehicles.
• Passenger vehicles include all the passenger buses.
• Livestock trucks
• Mail trucks
• Wood trucks

I assigned colour for all the groups. It is looking very interesting to see each type of cars have a different colour.
