A Day of Shopping: A Simple Need That Turned Into a Memorable Experience
Hello dear friends,
I hope you all are doing well and spending a beautiful life with your loved ones. I wish you all happiness and peace.
Human needs truly have no end. To move forward in society and to maintain a normal lifestyle, we depend on countless things. These everyday essentials become such an integral part of our lives that living without them becomes almost impossible. One such essential item led to my busy yet delightful outing yesterday—a mission to buy a side bag for my wife.
Our day began at Alam’s Centre, the largest shopping mall in Narayanganj. Whether it is clothes, shoes, accessories, or bags—this market has a reputation for having almost everything. Naturally, we were confident that we would find a good bag there. We first took the lift to the fifth floor and walked into the Apex showroom, a brand widely trusted across Bangladesh.
But to our surprise, the collection of women’s side bags there was very limited. Whatever was available was not appealing enough, and nothing matched my wife’s taste. So without wasting much time, we decided to move on.
Our next stop was a store named “Onniyom.” The moment we stepped inside, we noticed that their designs were quite attractive. The colors, shapes, textures—all were eye-catching. But there was one major problem—the price. The bags were disproportionately expensive, especially considering that it was still a local brand. I remembered one of my cousins who once bought a local branded bag for 3,500 taka and could not even use it for six months. That experience held me back from spending a high amount on something similar again. So, we left the store without buying anything.
Finally, we headed to the Bata showroom. Bata’s reputation in Bangladesh needs no introduction. It is known for offering a wide variety of shoes, sandals, accessories—and of course, bags. The showroom was spacious, neatly arranged, and full of stylish collections. As soon as we entered, we noticed rows of handpicked designs that suited different tastes and needs.
Meanwhile, little Nusaiba was having the time of her life. The large showroom gave her plenty of space to run around and play. Watching her enjoy herself made the moment even more special for us.
After checking several options, we finally found a black side bag that instantly caught our attention. It looked elegant, classy, and strong enough for everyday use. The stitching, finishing, and overall build quality seemed impressive. It felt like the perfect combination of style and practicality. The bag was priced at 3,499 taka, which seemed reasonable considering the design and durability.
Without a second thought, we chose that one.
What made the experience even better was the courteous behavior of the Bata staff. Despite the crowd, they guided us patiently, helped us compare designs, and maintained a friendly attitude the entire time. Good customer service always makes shopping smoother and more enjoyable, and this visit was no exception.
In the end, what started as a simple need turned into a memorable family outing. Buying a bag might be an ordinary task, but when the day includes togetherness, a child’s laughter, friendly service, and a satisfying purchase, the experience becomes special in its own way.
I hope my wife loves the bag and enjoys using it. And I hope this little shopping trip stays in our memory as a happy, meaningful moment in our everyday life.
Thanks all
