Then the day to go to the hospital arrived.
Good morning, everyone! After taking such good care of her, today is the day to take my youngest daughter for her scheduled heart surgery. I wake up early in the morning to prepare breakfast and take my eldest daughter to school. Then I hurried back to shower and get dressed, having already packed my suitcase yesterday. A mix of excitement and anxiety overwhelmed me; I couldn't tell what was what. My youngest daughter and my husband got up, got dressed, and came down to eat the food I had bought. Then we started our journey to the hospital. The traffic was quite heavy on the way because it was a weekday and people were going to work as usual. I took pictures to capture the entire atmosphere perfectly. Someone once said, "Don't hold onto bad memories, let them pass." But I think it's not a bad thing to keep some things in mind. Because we never know what will happen to us tomorrow or the next minute. I just want to keep these memories for myself, every day that has passed. We drove to the hospital around 10 a.m., before our doctor's appointment.
Upon arriving at the hospital, I unloaded my suitcases from my husband's car and looked for a parking spot, which was very difficult because so many people were using the hospital's services. While we waited, we went to the counter to present our tickets. When my husband returned, we walked into the ward where the doctor had scheduled an appointment. Today is a health checkup and preparation for surgery tomorrow.
After presenting our cards, the nurse led us to a shared room with four beds. My daughter looked at the children who had undergone heart surgery earlier, and some who were here to prepare for surgery as well. There are many cases ranging from newborns as young as a month old. My daughter had already changed into her hospital gown, and soon the nurse took her to have her blood drawn for testing. This time there was no crying or whining like before. She remains cheerful and eats very well. The doctor came to check on my fever and blood pressure periodically.
In the evening, she took a bath, changed her clothes, and then asked me to take her to the children's play area that the hospital had prepared. I'm not particularly excited today, but I'm secretly worried, though I can't let my child know what I'm worried about. I could only comfort my child and give them some good advice. When it was time for the meal, a staff member brought it to our table. The food at the hospital was actually quite good. My daughter enjoyed her meal. In addition, the nurse came to remind us to prepare ourselves for tomorrow morning, and that we are not allowed to eat anything after midnight. That's all for today's story. I'll tell you more tomorrow about what happened...
Thank you, friends, for following and your great support! See you again in the next article. Goodbye everyone!
