Trump's pick for the CDC.

Oh joy besides thinking vaccines cause autism, Trump's pick for the CDC was a president of a health cost sharing ministry.

These Christian companies got Chuck Grassley to sneak an exemption for these programs into the ACA.

Members pay a periodic fee based on different tiers. When they have a medical event, the other members' fees are supposed to pay for part of the cost.

They don't have the safeguards of an ACA compliant health insurance plan and don't actually count as health insurance.

They have lifetime spending caps and discriminate against those with pre-existing conditions. The board of directors decides what to cover.

I looked into that too and what really caught my attention was how past conflicts of interest could come into play, especially with big pharmaceutical ties. I’ve been following a few cases myself, like that recent autism lawsuit that raised questions about transparency in vaccine research. A lot of people aren’t just worried about science—they’re worried about who controls the data and how decisions are made for public health.
