CENTER FOR ECOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND RECREATION

CEDAR or the Center for Ecological Development and Recreation is one of the tourist spots of the Municipality of Impasugong, Bukidnon. It is located at Barangay Impalutao which is 14 kilometers from Poblacion.

CEDAR is the first reforestation project in Mindanao which was embarked in 1972. This is a co-management project of the Local Government of Impasugong, Bukidnon and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The Tree Plantation, the Dila and Gantungan Falls are the significant attractions at CEDAR. With this, nature enthusiasts consider this as a good place for campings and recollection. Thus, usually during summer different groups are holding their activities in this place.

The place is really very refreshing especially to the soul because of the serenity within the place. You can also enjoy being nature, listening to the whispers of the breeze and the gushing of the river. Here are some of the photos of CEDAR.

This is our lush tree plantation project with varying species. Visitors find it very refreshing and they most love playing the Amazing Race within.

Anyone can do biking within CEDAR while having communion with nature where routes are safe for the riders and the terrain is really suited for this adventure.

One can have rock climbing at Gantungan. Although it is very risky during heavy rains because of the possible deluge yet when the weather is good, one would enjoy climbing over the rocks and trees.

And this is the Dila Falls where one can do trekking down the falls and go on swimming at its bosom.
