smashes particles together at extreme speeds to observe the smaller particles it creates, some say it might have ripped a hole in space/time or opened a portal.. lots of speculation, the ones that know for sure arnt talking

    Now you are thinking about the LCH (Large Hadron Collider), not CERN itself. CERN is the organization that owns it.
