Electricity in Nigeria

Nigeria got her independence on the 1st of October 1960 and with the current situation, some Nigerians are saying thinking Nigeria would have been more developed and organized if we had stayed a little longer before fighting for independence.

One of the pressing needs for businesses in Nigeria has been power supply. For over 57 years, Nigeria has not been able to achieve constant power supply for at least 20% of her population. This shortage of power has led to the increase in price of goods and services. Over 60% of Nigerians don't get up to 12 hours of electricity a day.

what I think the problem is

The problem of electricity in Nigeria is not from the government, even though we can blame the government. The problem of power supply is from the PEOPLE of Nigeria.

Yes I know Nigeria is a democratic nation, a government by the people and for the people, yea yea. So you might say the people are in the government, But let's look at it this way. We've had leaders who promised us power supply, and 100% of them failed. Obviously they are not doing what the people wants.

The question now is "what did we do when they failed?", nothing. we did nothing, we only said to ourselves "here goes another currupt leader."

We complain with no action. Probably because those who can speak for the people are not rich enough?

That's why I tell people that " broke people can't change this world."

Our problem currently is just UNITY. Check the population of Nigeria versus the population of the leaders. Imagine if all Nigerians have one voice and mind to speak and say "we won't pay for power that we don't use" Change starts from one people.

A CHAMPION IS NOT SOMEONE WHO WON A FIGHT, A CHAMPION IS SOMEONE WHO WON A FIGHT FOR HIS PEOPLE

What we need as Nigerians

Nigeria has great people, many talented young men and women who don't even know how talented they are, because there is currently no enabling environment.

What we Nigerians need is 'UNITY OF PURPOSE". Remember the story in the Bible about those guys who wanted to build a tower to heaven? Just because they had one mind, God said :this guys will build this tower if I don't stop them! SO God had change their language, they couldn't communicate their "united purpose" because they did not have a common language.

New leaders are coming that will shake Nigeria and Africa for good. Just give us time. We'll change this world.

current development in electricity supply

A company called lumos came up with a good idea that could help millions of Nigeria.

Lumos in partnership with MTN now gives millions of Nigerians electricity

Lumos enables people to replace hazardous and expensive kerosene generators and lanterns with modern solar electricity that can power lights, cellphones, fans, computers, TVs and other small electronic devices (all at once, every day). By offering Solar Power as a Service, Lumos offers homes and small businesses a simple and affordable way to pay for electricity in small installments using their mobile phones.

The fact still remains that until we start having the mind set of creating rather than consuming , Nigeria will still remain the way it is. You ask me how do we create without the supply of electricity. Well, If you ask me, na who I go ask.

Lol, if you ask me, na who I go ask na
