Can the forum still collect benf. rewards on outside ChainBB posts?
Maybe if people still use the # first tag specifically it can be treated as if the user directly posted into ChainBB ?

No, it cannot. Otherwise you could just set the tags to the highest paying and collect a portion of those rewards :D
The posts themselves have to be created through chainBB in order for the beneficiaries to be set.
