Hello Fellow Steemians,

Such a strong content.
Beautiful direction and filming.
Real people's reactions!!
Almost gave goosebumps. Ain't it?

The video has a powerful message for the people out there about the violence against women.

But how many of us actually practically implement it?

Everyone?? Sadly No!! Below are some statistics:

As the most widespread violation of human rights, there are many ways to measure the violence against women, which have to face challenges; Violence against women can take many forms, in all types of places - home, school, refugee camp - Affect women from various geographical, socioeconomic or age groups, and manifestations in various forms are World Category: Health A multinational study organized by WHO found that between 15% and 71% of women experienced physical and/or sexual violence by a participant. Impact on Society

The WHO has reported that violence against women imposes an unbearable burden on women on health care services, which have the potential to withstand the need for health services and higher costs on the high costs of violence. Health results result in different forms directly from acts of violence or long-term effects. Violence against women can be the result of serious physical injury, death, sexually transmitted disease, miscarriage, depression and other mental health problems and of course less physical health such as adverse pregnancy. The economic cost of violence against women is significant - in 2003 the report by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that the cost of close companion violence in the United States alone is more than 5.8 billion US dollars per year: 4.1 billion US Dollars provide direct medical and health care services, while productivity losses are approximately US $ 1.8 billion Have an account. In children who grow up in families where there is violence, they have many practical and emotional disturbances. This can be associated with experiencing or experiencing violence later in life.

  • Gender-based violence.
  • Rape, marital rape and incest.
  • Murder and assault including dowry-related violence and honour killings.
  • Forced marriage.
  • Female genital mutilation.
  • Human trafficking including cross-border prostitution rings and bride kidnappings.
  • War crimes including rape as a weapon of war.

What are the roots of violence against women?

Violence against women is in unequal power relations between men and women in society. In broad terms, structural relations of inequalities in politics, religion, media and discriminatory cultural norms constitute violence against girls and women.

Violence against women is a global problem and is not limited to a specific group of women in society. However, depending on factors such as sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, class, age, nationality, forms of violence can be shaped differently. Significantly, due to ongoing racism, immigrants and tribal women are put on marginalisation, which contributes to violence and inhibits the deprivation by their social and personal power. In addition to poverty, family and friends, language difficulties and homeless are also the weakest women in society

In the male-dominant society, male privilege becomes ideal and contributes to the beliefs and behaviors of men that they have the right to control women.

What do we do?

The question arises how to control, prevent or maybe completely eradicate completely.

  • Provide women to legal representation and opportunities to pursue justice against criminals of violence through formal legal system

  • Promoting gender equality in schools and widening access to education for girls. It is time and time to prove that girls enrolled in school are less likely to get married and are pregnant. If this was not enough reason, girls who get high-level education are more likely to get employment and become empowered as a result of their financial contribution to family and community.

  • At the end of initial marriage and premature pregnancy, the main reason for the death of girls between the ages of 15 to 19 years is due. In the next decade, more than 18 Muslims are expected to marry more than 142 million girls, programs likeApni Beti Apna Dhan (ABAD), which encourage conditional cash to encourage families to delay their daughter's marriage. Provide transfer; Probably arrangements will help in reducing marriages. Girls should develop both physically and mentally before marriage and childbirth.

  • Pay more attention to violence, which is done by a partner or spouse. Stella Mukas, Director of Gender Violence and Rights in ICRD, told the story of a woman who had forced her husband to breastfeed his dog's litter. When he asked for help from the community, his claim was not taken into account because misuse of husband or wife was not considered a violation of women's rights.

  • Revise the marriage laws which are institutionally biased towards women, especially those who deny the custody of women on their children, succession and land rights in case of death, separation or divorce. An amended national constitution is an example in Kenya, in which unprecedented authority for women, supervision of property transactions, managing family land and resources, and maintaining a part of the land to live and if there is a widow or divorced.
