TLALOC expression sheets (original drawing)

in #characterdesign7 years ago

It's been a while since my last Steemit post, please excuse me! Taking up on my previous thread regarding character design for the god of Rain and Fertility, here are some explorations of expressions, looking to also understand how her costume works a little better. At this point I am almost ready to finalize her by creating what's called a model sheet.

Process:

1- blue pencil sketch

2- 0.1 copic fine liner to refine sketch

3- ink washes- first pass (basic form, cast shadows)

4- 0.3 copic fine liner to build line weights

5- ink washes- second pass (ambient occlusion, core shadows)

6- 0.8 copic pen to for key line, seperation of forms, reinforcing direction of light source
