Charging my device

in #charginglast month

I own a device that which input requires 24W and there is a charger given by the product which about 12V2A = 24W.

It can be charged equal or above 24W, the question is that if there is a charger the total in W equal with 24W but the V is lower than 12 and the A is above to 2, will my device get hurts? I guess yes because the A is highter(hurts the battery or circuit if it does not designed a chip about power protect) but I am not sure am I right.

*I want it can works with mobile supply but only 5V 2A = 10W, considering get a cable which increase the V.

*Don't ask these supports , 9/10 of them always answering yes/fine/is ok.
