Hello, I volunteer for a UK-registered charity (Whisper, reg. no. 1139078) that runs Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital in Jinja, Uganda.

We're looking for another 6 amazing donors to donate $5 or £5 or a similar amount of any currency to our year-end campaign for our burns unit. If we can reach that goal before the end of 2017 then the fundraising platform, GlobalGiving, will award the charity a bonus of £1000 (around US$1350), which will be enough to treat several burns patients.

To qualify for the bonus, we need to increase the number of donors on our campaign page to 21 distinct donors before the end of 2017.

Donations made via the campaign page are tax-efficient in the US and the UK, because GlobalGiving is registered in both countries.

Our hospital is well-regarded, with some patients traveling for hours to see us. We currently see around 15000 patients a year. We do charge fees, but a lot of the treatment is heavily subsidized and nobody is turned away for being unable to pay. You can follow the hospital on Facebook here.
