A steemian with ectopic pregnancy @lolajanet seeks support to pay off her hospital bills

in #charity7 years ago (edited)

Good day steemians,Today @steemhelpinghand is presenting to the steemit community the case of @lolajanet a fellow steemian, @steemhelpinghand got the information from @ponmile who sent the link to this post misterufem a fellow steemian to @steemhelpinghand .

We contacted @misterufem on WhatsApp and he explained to us that @lolajanet had an ectopic pregnancy and she was still been held at the hospital because she was unable to complete her hospital bill.

We decided to pay her a visit, @steemhelpinghand team visited abeokuta on the 28th, February, 2018 to see @lolajanet at Federal Medical Center Idi-aba abeokuta

We arrived at the hospital, led by @misterufem , we took few photographs of the hospital vicinity, the security men appeared uncomfortable with that so stopped the taking the photos, though we already captured a few shots.

Arriving at the ward, the nurses welcomed us with open arms and were happy to receive us knowing the fact that we came to Lola Janet's rescue, but the nurses also asked us not to take too many photographs of other patients, they permitted us to take a quick video and insisted we must not appear in the video, too many restrictions I must confess.

We went into the hospital ward and met @lolajanet she was still very weak, she could not speak much and also we where asked not to stress her. @lolajenet had an ectopic pregnancy and this must have caused her a lot pains, vaginal bleedings and also, being that the foetus was formed outside of the womb, this obviously must have caused her a lot of pain around her pelvis, abdomen, and even as well as her shoulder or neck, she was looking so pale , She was obviously In chronic pain when we got to the ward as we managed to interview her.

Since we already got the details of the kind of surgery carried out, we took some photographs of the hospital bills and documents, took the quick video and left the ward to avoid disturbing other patients.

There was a whole lot of receipts from drugs and the surgery here is photograph of a few of them

We asked about the foetus and we where told we could see the foetus at the motuary we headed to the motuary immediately, we took some photos at the entrance and then took the photo of the foetus inside the motuary.

The non-liquid payout(steempower) will be used to create more awareness for the project, support other charity projects on steemit, also used to keep all new members @steemhelpinghand bring into the community.
