Reaction between Ba (OH) 2 and carbon dioxide emitted by a car. PRECIPITATE FORMATION.
The aim was to quantify the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by a car. Barium hydroxide was used as a reactant since, when in contact with CO2, a white, insoluble pre-treatment was formed. The barium hydroxide was introduced into the top of the minicolumn and the gas entered through the fund and managed to react against the current.
