SEC S20W4/ Mini Chef in Action

It is actually nice to train our children from a very tender age on how to cook. I appreciate it so much when I see children cook and take care of themselves when the parents are not home and that is because the parents has groomed their children well.

I appreciate this training because it's usually help me to look back on how I'm training my child to see if I'm actually on the track.

Obviously, in as much as I don't have a 4-year-old child at home I didn't plan joing this contest. I didn't even have the opportunity to meet with children either my niece or nephew this week so as to take part in this contest as I was fortunate some weeks ago. But when I saw my daughter whisking egg so perfectly yesterday, I was thrilled to take part in the contest at least if not for anything but to share my daughter's talent with my online friends.

She is not up to the age requested in this contest, she is 1 year and 8 months but as young as she is I saw the zeal and the potential that she has and decided to developed it. Before now, she is always eager to help me in the kitchen, she is very smart.

We decided to prepare pancakes, it is her favourite.

So to begin this cooking I get all ingredients ready for her

She already know what we are preparing and she's very smart , So I guided her while she turned the all the ingredients to the flour bowl then mix it and I fried it. Let me show you our step by step preparation of this delicious yummy pancake by my daughter.

I already know that at her age, she is not to go close to the fire and also to play with sharp objects so I gave her a part that she will play during the cooking which is Just mixing the barter for pancake

Frying process

---

Add veg oil to a dry pan on fire	fry the pancake in low heat

flip over other side and fry	yummy yummy pancake is ready

So after whisking I did the frying, because she can't do the frying she can't go close to fire so I do the frying and Taraaah!!!! Our yummy yummy delicious pancake was ready, my baby loved it so much in fact, it was fun all through.

It was really fun.

My funniest moment was when my daughter was actually eating the veggies while she was supposed to mix it together with the batter. She loves tomato too much so she ate almost half of it. Hahaha

Another moment was when I wanted to help her whisk the batter but she told me "I can do it mom" you can watch that in the video below to see her actions. It was really fun because this thing she cannot do it very well but when I ask hwrt to hand over to me so I can help you She said she can do it. Hahaha

Then another part that shocked me so much was when I was about frying it, She actually knows that she is not supposed to go close to the fire so she quickly hand it over to me and ask me to fry "mommy fry" that was when I really know that she don't only understand what she is doing but she knows it herself.

Another funniest moment was when she keeps telling herself "chef Dara yummy yummy pancake, chef Dara yummy yummy pancake" which she actually means that chef Dara is preparing yummy yummy pancake. Hahaha

From the video, you can actually tell her mood, she likes the pouring and turning that she did and I think her favourite part is when she actually eats the pancake as reflected on her picture you could see how she was so happy so it means that is her favourite part. The whole moment was fun, It wasn't her first experience though because I am used to cooking with her.
