RE: The Sign of Jonah and the Sign of the Son of Man
This was very interesting! It amazes me how they saw Him perform all these things and still didn't believe. Have you ever heard an orthodox Jew's view of the Messiah? I listened to Ben Shapiro's view once. Very interesting.
I remember watching a 119 video and seeing just how many prophesies He fufilled. Many I didn't know about before.
Now for the big question, was He still in the tomb 3 days/nights?
Oh ps. Are you doing a show this/next week?
Yes, the Jew's understanding about Messiah is in some ways similar to our understanding, in other ways vastly different. The concept of gentiles being brought in by faith, rather than by rabinical conversion is one big difference.
Ben Shapiro is interesting to listen to on political matters, but concerning faith, he's pretty Jewish-worldly. Smart guy, very quick. Believes in evolution and vaccines, etc. Maybe he'll come around.
Concerning 3 days, nights in the tomb....
The gospel accounts describe Yeshua crucified on the 14th (Preparation day), in the tomb the 15th (Sabbath), raised on the third day - the 16th (Morrow after the Sabbath). The high Sabbath of unleavened bread is also the weekly Sabbath.
Rather than 72 hours, He was more likely 24 hours in the grave - a single Sabbath. The Father did not allow His Holy one to see decay. Psalm 16:10
Probably no B&L show this week, but we'll see. :-)

I remember hearing Ben say that their belief is that anyone could become the Messiah. Crazy! I’ve noticed a lot of Jews that are rather worldly, although the same could be said of Christians.
So another question I have after doing some studying for Passover. Where does the cup in the last supper come from? Because drinking wine isn’t required for Passover as far as I can see. But, if I’m understanding correctly, the last supper wasn’t on Passover either? So yea, I’m still confused about the bread and the wine. Could this be compared to head coverings in that it’s not a command but if/when you do this, this is how to do it?
If you’re having Passover tonight, I hope you and your family have a blessed one!
Thank you, yes we're preparing today for the rememerance tonight.
My understanding of the cups is that they represent the salvation story from slavery to inheritance. Exodus 6:6 We are still experiencing our salvation story, as we have not yet received the inheritance. This is why Yeshua said He wouldn't drink of the cup until it was new in the Kingdom.
I think the last supper was a preparation for the Passover the next day. Yeshua was showing his disciples how to observe the Passover, and they were shocked to discover the next day that they were "eating" the body any blood of Messiah just after witnessing Him being crucified! Yeshua said He desired to eat THIS Passover, but would not.
