Standing Alone / Courage to Stand for the Truth

Many times as Christians we are in situations where we stand alone. It could be at work, or perhaps a family event, or any sort of gathering including church gatherings.
I personally believe that our actions speak much louder than our words, but there are often times when we must speak out and take a stand for the truth. Sometimes even in a Christian environment, one must stand alone.
A few years ago I saw a video of a Christian church that opened its doors to Muslim prayer. One woman took a stand, and no matter you look at it, the truth is that Jesus is the only way the only truth and the only life. this woman did not compromise that fact. It took some time to find the video, and what I found was that many who shared it actually called her "satanic." That's shocking, but the bible says: "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
Isaiah 5:20
If we compromise on the truth, that Jesus is the only way, the only truth, and the only life, for the sake of tolerance, then we are not standing for the truth. There's no way we are standing in love by not telling the truth that life is found only in Christ Jesus.
The old saying rings true to this: "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."
Islam is now the fasting growing religion in Europe.

So, as followers of Christ, this is where the rubber meets the road. These types of situations give us an opportunity to declare our faith in Jesus.
Jesus said:
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew"
7:13-14.
Let's make sure that we stay on the narrow path, with no leaven and no compromise.
If you haven't seen this video by Brigitte Gabreal I encourage you to watch it. This woman lived what we see happening today in many nations. In her own life story, she explains how Islam progressed in Venezuela, how "tolerance," set it into motion, led to her and many other suffering terribly.

With so much compromise happening today, we as believers must use wisdom. I certainly don't believe that God wants us to sit silently as we see things that are not according to His truth, take place.
Jesus said that we must use wisdom.
"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."
Matthew 10:16
As we can see, "few there be, on the narrow path." "Few there be" that stand for God's truth. "Few there be" that uphold the truth of life in Jesus alone. Many stand for "tolerance," above the truth in Christ even within some of our own churches. I have serious doubts that the purpose of loving others, is completely telling others about the love in Christ. It has nothing to do with tolerance, which is part of the reason Islam is growing in European nations, and I wonder if people bother to question for themselves if this is God's will or not. I don't believe that it's HIS will at all that people are drawn into teachings that do not share the truth in Christ.
This isn't about a physical battle, it's about speaking the truth and standing for the truth. This is about prayer, not only for our nation but all nations that reject God, and the truth of Christ. Tolerance has nothing to do with loving others, because the truth sets us free, not our own ideas of what love is.
The ways of the world are NOT God's ways.
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13
Now is the time to stand on the truth, and pray, and pray, and pray some more.
People may not like the truth, but in Christ, we know that His truth stands above all esle.

Unfortunately, many Christians are afraid of speaking the truth with boldness. Most especially as it relates to other religions, there have been a lot of religious wars in the past for almost same issue. Like in my country, a woman was killed by some Muslim guys just because she went about preaching in the area were their mosque is located. This happens about a year ago, she had received threats from them to stop preaching around the location of the mosque, but she continued to share the gospel even till she was stoned to death. So what kind of effect you think such an event would bring upon Christians? Most especially those who live in places where there are people from other religious group, what do you think would be in their heart hearing such a sad news?
Of course, here lies the most prevalent area of compromise, because many are afraid just not to become victim of such an incident, and by so doing, the boldness for speaking the truth is therefore absent. This is a call for concern, most Christians don't understand the major cost of being a follower of Christ,
This is what Jesus said in (Matthew 24:9 NIV) :
Jesus knew all these evils will happen to His followers but how many of our Christian brethren understand this verse? Many became Chrstians because they only want good things from God, and they don't want to feel any inch of suffering. The moment such Christians felt things aren't working too well, they become blasphemers. In as much as there are benefits in Christianity while on earth, we shouldn't forget the fact that Christ did not come to teach about the kingdom of this world but that of heaven, and in same heaven lies the greater benefits.
If Christians can understand the cost of being a follower of Christ, then the issue of compromise will be no more, the boldness for the truth will stand no matter the condition.
Thanks for this piece @livingwaters I am always happy when I see spirited topics as this one... God bless you!
@andrewade, God bless that woman! She had dedication like Stephen in acts 7.
That is truly just amazing, what you shared here and what she did. She stood for the truth of Christ, right to the end.
You really blessed me with this brother. Here in the USA, the people's lives aren't threatened to point of being stoned for speaking the truth in Christ, but things are changing quickly.
Prayers for all of our brothers and sisters around the world.
God bless you much. @andrewade.
Amen! Thank you...
Your faith gives me encouragement, keep spreading the word girl!👌
Thank you @tbnfl4sun, it's always so good to see you, my friend!
