You’ve Been Appointed

Luke 10:1 (KJV)
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

Jesus called just twelve men to have a unique place in His life and work. These men would be the foundation upon which the churches would rest He, Himself, being the cornerstone. He trained them personally
By teaching,
By example and merely
By their fellowship with Him. (Most of the ministry is caught, not taught.)
And He sent them out

But the work of the gospel did not end with them. They were not the only ones appointed, instructed and sent out. In order to seek and to save more, there must be an ever widening circle of people going
Farther,
More frequently,
To places not yet touched with the Gospel.

And so the work continues. It is not just the one church in Jerusalem but multiple churches planted out of Jerusalem. It is not just Judea but Samaria and the uttermost parts of the world. It is not just Jews but people of every kindred and tongue and nation. It is not just two thousand years ago but still today. It is not just the pastors and deacons but every member of a local body of scripturally baptized believers.

Are you a Christian? Count on it, you have been appointed also.
