Faith is a persistent belief in things to come, or things not seen.

It's is one of the dogmas of Christianity. It is the first step in the journey to eternal life .

The Bible spoke about faith in

Hebrews 11:1
NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

The Bible also said that by faith, the men of old bourne divine testimonies. It is an extension of our reality. It is through faith, we can command our reality.

It is impossible to please God without faith. Because the Bible says whoever must come near to God must first believe in his existence and the fact that he is the creator, our Lord and Savior.

Having a firm faith

Faith basically means believing in something wholeheartedly and without any form of doubt. For example, Noah by faith, having being warned by God, constructed an ark for the deliverance of his family .

Another example is Sarah who by faith received the physical power to conceive another child though she had past the age for it.

Most people claim to have faith but when confronted with the problems or troubling situations they begin to falter.

Jesus Christ said, by faith, you can move mountains. He also tells us that all authority on earth has been given to us.

That means through faith, we have power over sickness, accidents,Temptations and even death , yes even death.

Hebrews 11:5
Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God. [Gen. 5:21-24.]

So as Christians, we should build up our faith diligently as it is our weapon in combating the our harsh realities.
