I'm pretty sure Yahweh means I am or The One Who Is and not "The Lord".

From what I learn. Yahweh - The Lord

I think it is a major and important distinction. If you call The One Who is God it kind of puts you on a similar level. By calling "God" The One Who is it acknowledges the power and that The One Who is is more powerful than a name or you.

God - Creator
Lord - Covenant keeping God

God can mean the Christian God or Jewish God or Satan or Zeus or any other god.
Yahweh/The One Who is implies a god who is greater than any god of the pagans and does not even share a name that is associated with the pagan gods.
