Thoughts for the day - 3/8/18
Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.
Ecclesiastes 9:11 ESV
Solomon, credited by Jesus Himself for his wisdom, tells us clearly that sometimes things just are not fair! Perhaps you are the hardest worker at work, yet are hardly noticed. Perhaps, you are without a doubt, more intelligent than others in your class, yet struggle to keep up. You have a great grasp on finances, yet there is nothing in the bank account. The list is endless and it's really just not fair.
The problems are known and they have not changed. There is time and chance that "randomizes results", but more often than not, there is often a skew in this world that offers rewards for qualities that may not be "fair". Someone is better looking, tells better jokes, knows the right person or simply knows how to "rig" the system. This is not new.
What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.
It is so easy to fall into the trap of playing the game then to "level the playing field" and participating in the same manner you find so objectionable. And to what end? For a few trinkets or accolades!
Be the scale that is calibrated by our Lord, let your standards be set by the Father and not this world, There is no useful measurement derived from a crooked ruler, why use it on yourself?
For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice.
Many Blessings.
Craig
Thank you all for the wonderful and thoughtful replies.
I was unable to respond yesterday but hope to be back in action today. I do encourage each of you to reply and comment with each other, as this is such a great opportunity for ministry and fellowship.
May the Lord bless you.

The Thoughts today reminds of the saying "Life is a wheel." And the wheel moves perpetually. Sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down. It exhorts us not to be too confident when we're at the top nor desperate when down and out because nothing is ever permanent. The situation and circumstance will definitely change. The journey may just take longer for some and shorter for others but it will come.
A time of misfortune will come to all alike as in a time of blessing will also be forthcoming, if not in this world then in the next. All in God's time not ours.
The bible says we not be conformed by the things of this world. Gods word is our guide for what is right not withstanding what the world is doing.
God bless you for sharing
This is a very nice message. Good job Craig.
Ahh so very true, but so encouraging at the same time, for the Lord loves all his children equally, and while we may toil away at times for little reward on Earth, the greatest reward is yet to come!
And look to what GOD has bestowed upon you in the Hereafter, and do not forsake your portion of the (pleasures) of the world and do good to others as He has done good to you, and do not corrupt in the face earth. GOD does not love those who do corruption.
Proverbs 20:23
Abominations are to Jehovah false weights,
And the false balance is not good.
we will be weighed in the just balance of God and each one will be given according to his works. good post thanks for posting these reflections...😍
This message is very timely as it affects us all...
Yes you might have the best post on steemit and get no views or votes at all and another might put up something not even worth voting for but gets the highest payout of all times...
If you ever have to pass through this and wonder why the world's so unfair, I'll advice you bookmark this post by @bycoleman to serve as a reminder for you....
Though He slays me, yet will I trust Him.
He makes all things beautiful in His time.
