BROKEN HOPE

I pray about everything and hairdo would not be an exemption. I prayed to God that the woman that normally fix my hair would do this particular style right because not everyone knows how to do it. I kept praying about it (I didnt kneel or stay in one place while praying, I prayed while going about my daily activity), while I was praying, I suddenly said "whoever would fix this hair would do it right", when I said that I knew that woman would not fix this hair, somebody else would (we should know that God speaks in different ways, you should just be at alert when He is speaking to you).

Truly, when I went to the woman's salon, she said she had some other place to go, then I left to another place. I got there, saw the salesgirl and then sat down; not less than five minutes, the hairstylist came around. She began to share her story. She told her salesgirl (she didnt look like a salesgirl, the way they rapport, it seemed to me as though they were sisters; thats how every boss should be like you know) that what she was about to share happened a week before that time, but the salesgirl did not take note of anything because it didnt reflect on her face. You know what amazed me? She shared this story without a single tear, and there was no crack in her voice, what! That's rare. She said she sees this in home videos she never knew it happens for real.

I'd try to cut the long story short. She dated a guy for 6 years before he traveled out of the Country to South Africa, they had done "Introduction" before he left. So she was close to his family. His sisters (they are in the University) would come to her salon, his brother and herself attends the same Church, according to her she said she spent a lot on that family cause they always came to her for help or something like that sha. She said they were very close. She said that there was a time the guy was in prison abroad, his family came to her and told her about it and that there was no money, so she had to cough out one hundred and fifty thousand Naira (150k), in my mind I said "wow, you had that kind of money? that money is huge".
She began to preach to us the importance of night prayers, she also advised the both of us on relationship, she talked on fasting, she talked with us on how great God is and all of that. She said something that really caught my attention, she said "when it comes to issues of life, you are the best person to pray for yourself, pastor? who be pastor? when you go to a pastor, the best he can do for you is to pray for you at that moment, the moment you leave his office he has forgotten about your problem", in my mind I said "that's sooooo true... We all have access to God, everyone should learn how to pray for themselves and not be seeking people that would pray for them because this has driven people to false prophets." Your pastor should put a seal on what you are doing, but not that you'd put the entire responsibility on him, he has other things to think about you know, ehen ehen, back to the story...

One night,a week before that time, somebody sent her a friend request on facebook; in Nigerian pidgin she was like "who be this wey dey send me friend request", she said that because the name was not familiar to her but she accepted it anyway, she went through the person's profile only to find out that it was her husband to be, the guy had gotten married and posted on his timeline that they were expecting their second child, she commented "congratulations", but after that, she couldnt contain herself and she couldnt sleep either, she said she prayed to God to let her sleep and truly she slept. She said the next morning she went to Delta state to the guy's mother without taking her bath and then she turned to her salesgirl to remind her of that day; the salesgirl said "Aunty, is that what you went there to do?", she was with her salesgirl for a week and the girl did not notice a thing, the salesgirl complimented her and said that she is strong, the lady replied "no na God"...

She said God had made her strong because of what she would discover, she said all that happened was God, how the guy sent her a friend request MISTAKENLY (what a mistake) was all God, and she emphasized that she is a child of God. She said no man has seen her nakedness for five years since he left (making the relationship 11 years altogether). She said this year is already going yet his family could not tell her what was going on despite how close they were, but God had to expose everything to her (obviously, going by the way it all happened). She said "you will not blame some girls when they chase their husband family out of her marital home".
She began to rain curses on the guy and everyone that knew about it and kept it from her. She said she asked his sisters, mother if they knew anything about it but they all denied it (how true can that be?), your brother/son has children and you dont know about it? Seems like she had been placing curses on them for a time and his family heard about it later. They called her to find out why she was placing curses on their family (what a family). She emptied a pack of match sticks and said thats how the guy's life would be emptied (cold catch me o), she placed a curse on his sisters (then she said "shebi dem be girls") and on everyone that knew about it and hid it from her. She said at night, she went into the rain naked to rain curses on him.

Guys, you think you are smart? Stop playing games and be truthful because of your life and destiny. She said she has left the matter to God, then the salesgirl said "now I go know if God truly dey exist". When things begin to happen to the guy and his family, people would begin to run their mouths without finding out what happened.
After she narrated her ordeal, I realized why God brought me there. I had an impression that I should speak a word to the situation, I began to fight it because I saw how bold and courageous the lady appeared to be, so I said what will I say to her, so I didnt want to say anything I just wanted to leave but I kept getting it that I should speak a word. When I was done with my hair, they were many other customers in her salon, so she didnt say a word concerning the matter (it was just me and her salesgirl that heard the matter--- The more reason I knew God had brought me there, and she didnt narrate the matter for a week, why must it be that she tld her story while I was there).

As I wanted to leave I said a Word into her life, you needed to have heard the Amen she said, herself and her salesgirl both shouted Amen with so much strength, I was amazed... She said her name is .... And I should put her in prayers. I want the Church (not the building, but we as believers is the Church) to pray for a marital breakthrough for this sister (She should now be in her late twenties or early thirties--29-32).
