RE: Right and Wrong Thinking (Series 1)
Your ignorance smell to the highest heavens cos if u are well knowledgeable you will know that the bible never contradicts itself. Its lack of study that makes ignoramus like you concludes that it does.
Have actually read the bible? You sound like somebody that hasn't. Contradictions start right from Genesis as 1 contradicts 2 and so on. If you want to explore contradictions in the Bible, I suggest this website: http://bibviz.com
Click on any of the red semi-circles and you will see information about the contradiction(s) it represents.
There are surely many, huh?
Here's a small excerpt of questions that have different answers in different parts of the Bible, you can find a much more extensive list at the bottom of the website I gave you.
There are more than 750 contradictions listed there, you can look at them and use your right thinking to check with the Bible and see if it actually agrees with itself.
lol.......its really clear u dont understand the bible as a whole. I recommend you go download wholesome teachings on bible interpretations on www.livingwordmedia.org.
Why you are at it, please do a google search on hermeneutics or bible interpretation.
If it's the word of God, shouldn't the Bible be free of contradictions, no matter who's reading it? Why do I need interpretations and apologetics, why can't I just read it and be instantly amazed and convinced?
Mark 16: 17-18
It's easy to offer at least some proof the Bible is true and that you are "right" in your beliefs - you let a poisonous snake bite you or drink some other poison and you survive without any damage. Keep in mind that there are some preachers and believers who have tried this who are not among the living anymore or were at least seriously harmed themselves. I hope you wouldn't try this because even you realize that the Bible cannot and should not be taken seriously.
@dave, the bible is a book written by men as inspired of God but needs you to read it to understand it.
You need to read God's word with d aid of the holy ghost to know what is written in it, just as you would any other literary material.
It is never a mysterious book or a magical book
I have read it.
I have read it as any other literary material and I have rejected it based on what I've read. Have you read it and if you had how on Earth didn't you find it appalling?
So is the Bible true or not? It can't be both. You either trust what it says or you don't. If you trust it, you should trust Mark 16, if you don't trust it, why are you putting forward Bible quotes as evidence of anything.
Also, how do you know your interpretation is any better than mine? I at least take the text at face value without making up additional stuff.
Dave, i will suggest u read anything i post here with an open mind and not with a made up mind so that you can have a full understanding.
I just post the second part of this teaching today, try look for it and study it. I call you blessed.
Cheers
My mind is never made up. I always look at the current evidence and try to interpret it. Your teaching just don't make a lot of sense. You are the one that has their mind made up in advance about which interpretation of things is correct and which is wrong. I suggest you take your own advice and read your Bible with an open mind for once without all the made-up apologetics.
How would you know anything about my mindset anyway, sounds like you are judging your fellow man and that's a sin, isn't it! Now you have to confess and all...
