Christ Is Asking You

Will you really do what I desire of you
If I ask would you be willing to die
Would you proudly move forward with faith in me
Trust what I say and not question why

Can you follow me and obey my father
All power and wisdom comes from him
Will you feast on his word and learn about me
Stay faithful when your life is looking dim

Will you be my disciple and go out and teach
Give up everything you have to move my word along
Will you do what it takes to stay on my path
Even though my path is difficult and long

There are commandments you must keep and teachings you must follow
You have to be baptized and take up my cross
Then you must feast on God's scriptures and teach what you've learned
Keep moving forward even when you feel the loss

You will lose family and friends if you take up my cross
Your whole life might turn upside down
Most people you know won't want to hear the truth
They'le think your crazy when you share what you've found

Will you do what it takes to live with me and my father
I'm pleading you, don't follow the world, follow me
I'll protect you and take care of you and save your soul
Just trust me, I keep my word, you will see
