FOOD for THOUGHT!
Riding around in the car today with hubby, I heard this song..actually have heard it many times but today was different.
It could be because it had been a rough week for me ..but that's another story. The song was a gospel song but there is one written by Cody Johnson. The song is called "Every Scar tells a Story" Song by the Talleys.
How many of us have stories to tell from our scars?
Scars maybe ones you see but often they are scars on the inside...hidden in the dark recesses of our souls.
Scars can make us BITTER or can make us BETTER. They can be a continued reminder of how far we have come in our journey called life.
You are not alone in whatever scars you have ..because when you really think about it we all have them.
I have often found that things kept in the darkness will only seem to haunt us.
If we can learn to bring them into the light we will find healing and strength to go on.
Mine is a story of mental abuse and rejection...Lo-n-g story for another day.
My story is a journey that I believe that God is infinite wisdom brought to a place of strength and forgiveness.
Isaiah 43:18-19 tells us that God wants to forget the former things and to let Him make us a "NEW CREATION" .
I have found that His promises are true for everyone. I told my granddaughter the other day that I felt God had a special plan and purpose for her life but that it wouldn't be easy...nothing worth while never is. This goes for each of us.
In this day and age when people seem so mean to others it is nice to know we can still have hope in the one that gladly
had His body scared ..the ultimate sacrifice so we can find healing from our scars.
What is your challenge today? What is the scar you are wearing?
Hope you find some encouragement today ...if so leave a comment.
If it helps just one person than this post is worth it all!
Blessings! Have a great weekend everyone!
There is always someone who needs to be encouraged by your story.
