God forgives and forgets

During the time of moses, it's learned that God covered the iniquities of the people with the blood of bulls, goats, and sheep (Psalms 32:1). What this means is that, it is possible that their sins could be remembered by God by just taking off the cover.

However, Christ Jesus came and died in the new testament, and completely cleared the iniquities of mankind by the sharing of his blood; meaning, the blood of animals is no where near the blood of Christ which is superior.

This is so because the blood of Christ cleanses all iniquities and more specifically, it even cleanse our conscience from all guilt. Due to this fact, when we ask God for forgiveness of our sins, he forgives and no longer remember them in as much we have truly repent from it.

Here is what the scripture says concerning the extent of God's mercy over mankind, this is a reading from Psalms 103:12

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

What's more? Christianity has its foundation built on this doctrine, and we have be advised to emulate Christ in all his ways and lifestyle. I know it is more likely to take longer time to forget the wrong doings of others due to human nature, but we can be able to forget all through conscious effort.

However, this is not the work of our hands but that of the holy spirit, if we give chance for the holy spirit to operate in us, we can achieve what we would most likely see to be impossible. Through the aid of the holy spirit we can forgive and forget the wrongs of others, and this will be of great benefit to us. Hallelujah, be blessed!
