Go Not Without Prayer

Go not without a prayer my beloved steemians into the dangerous world. We kneel at night to pray, drowsiness weighs your eyelids; a hard day’s work is a kind of excuses, and you shorten your prayer, and resign yourself softly to repose.

No watching unto prayer! Wakefulness once more omitted; and now is that reparable? We solemnly believe not.

There are things that has been done which cannot be undone. You have given up your prayer time, which will make you suffer for it.

Allurement is before you, and you are not prepared to meet it. There is a liable inclination on the spirit, and you wait at a separation from God. It is no wonder if that day in which you endure laziness to meddle with supplication be multi day in which you contract from obligation.

In any moments of prayer intruded by sloth cannot be made up. You may gathered experience, but you cannot get back the rich bloom which was wrapped up in those moments.

If Jesus Christ who is the Son of God, felt it necessary to rise up in the morning hour before the breaking of the day to pour out His heart to God in prayer, how much more ought you to pray unto Him who is the Giver of every good things with a perfect gift.

What Jesus gathered into His life from His prayers we can never know; but this what we do know, that the prayerless life is a powerless life; but such a life is far removed from Him who, by day and night, prayed to God.
