GOD'S MINISTERS: AGENTS OF BLESSINGS

GOD'S MINISTERS: AGENTS OF BLESSINGS

18 “THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, FOR HE HAS ANOINTED ME TO BRING GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,
19 AND THAT THE TIME OF THE LORD’s FAVOUR HAS COME.”
Luke 4:18–19 (NLT)

• Jesus went to Nazareth, His boyhood home, and as usual, He went to the Synagogue on the Sabbath. He was given a Scripture to read (Luke 4:16).

  • The passage He read was found in the book of Isaiah the Prophet (Isaiah 61:1). It was a Messianic Scripture, the prophecy about the Messiah—the Christ.
  • Jesus Christ said the Scripture He read in their hearings, has just come True, or has just been fulfilled before their very eyes (Luke 4:21).
  • The people of Nazareth were amazed at the words coming out of His mouth; but they held in contempt or scorned the Grace on Him, thus, He could not do much miracles there, even with the anointing without measure that was on Him—all because of their Unbelief or contempt:
5 NOW HE COULD DO NO MIGHTY WORK THERE, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 AND HE MARVELED BECAUSE OF THEIR UNBELIEF. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching" (Mark 6:5,6 NKJV).
  • Jesus said: "BUT I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, NO PROPHET IS ACCEPTED IN HIS OWN HOMETOWN" (Luke 4:24 NLT).

• You should not be a baby in the understanding of the spiritual things and principles. The people of Nazareth allowed familiarity to rob them of their blessings. Familiarity made them to be contemptuous.

  • The truth is; when you disregard God's minister or prophet ordained to bless you, you surely would miss what God has for you: " . . . JEHOSHAPHAT STOOD AND SAID, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: BELIEVE IN THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND YOU SHALL BE ESTABLISHED; BELIEVE HIS PROPHETS, AND YOU SHALL PROSPER" (2 Chronicles 20:20 (NKJV).
  • A believer should have a Bible sense, a spiritual understanding, to know the person who carries or has God's Grace on his or her life.
  • The people of Nazareth could not see the Grace on Jesus' life. Those who know your history would likely not appreciate your giftedness, calling, or the Grace of God on your life.

• God has put your word in the mouth of His ministers or prophets ordained to bless your life. The Israelites of old were brought out of the Egyptian bondage, through a prophet, and were preserved by a prophet: "BY A PROPHET THE LORD BROUGHT ISRAEL OUT OF EGYPT, AND BY A PROPHET HE WAS PRESERVED" (Hosea 12:13 NKJV).

  • If God wanted to work, do a particular thing in your life, He will bring a servant of His, a minister or prophet of His, on your way (1 Kings 17:8-16; 2 Kings 4:8-17.
  • Ministers of God, His prophets, are the agents or distributors of God's Blessings. What you need is sent through the hand of God's minister who speaks to your life—who stands as your prophet. God has ordained man to bless Man!
  • May you recognize the Anointing ordained or meant for your blessings and liberations in Jesus' name.

• Be sensitive.

  • The minister whom God would use to bless you, might not necessarily has the title or appellation "Prophet".
  • God confirms the word of His servants: "[God] WHO CONFIRMS THE WORD OF HIS SERVANT, AND PERFORMS THE COUNSEL OF HIS MESSENGERS; Who says to Jerusalem, ‘You shall be inhabited,’ To the cities of Judah, ‘You shall be built,’ And I will raise up her waste places" (Isaiah 44:26 NKJV).
  • Note: the words of a genuine minister of God or a prophet of God would not contradict or disagree with the Scripture, the written Word of God—the Bible.
  • When God sends a prophet or a minister of His, with your blessings, may you recognize such in Jesus' name. God is restoring whatever the enemy, the devil, had stolen from you, in Jesus' name.
  • Many have missed their visitations by God. But It is my prayer that you will be given another chance in Jesus' name. And that you will recognize the minister of God who has the Anointing, the message, or the blessing meant for you in Jesus' name.
  • You will not miss the day of your visitation in Jesus' name. And the grace to be sensitive, perceptive, or be discerning, in the day of your visitation, be released and lavished on you in Jesus' name.

• Note: If you are callous, or stingy, or your hand is a glue; you might miss the Anointing or the minister ordained to bless you, when he or she comes to visit:
"DO NOT FORGET TO ENTERTAIN STRANGERS, FOR BY SO DOING SOME HAVE UNWITTINGLY ENTERTAINED ANGELS" (Hebrews 13:2 NKJV).
a. Abraham through hospitality, cornered God, entertained God and two other angels, unwittingly—without knowing. And what he did led to the fulfilment of his long-awaited promise of God, having a child, that would be an heir (Genesis 18:1-22).
b. The woman of Shunem also received the fruit of the womb through hospitality; friendly reception and treatment of God's servant, Elisha the Prophet (2 Kings 4:18-17).
c. The widow of Zarephath also received the miracle of abundance in the period of famine (1 Kings 17:8-16).
SHE was preserved with her son in the time of draught, because she opened her house to receive the Prophet of God, Elijah.
SHE took care of the Prophet, Elijah, and God blessed her with ceaseless flow of food till the famine ended (I kings 17:8-16).

• You will not miss God's visitation in Jesus' name.

  • If you are having any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
  • Whatever is contrary to your health is rebuked and uprooted totally in Jesus' name.
    Peace!

• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
