HIS PRESENCE WITH YOU

in #christianitylast month (edited)

"TEACH these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE.”
Matthew 28:20 (NLT)

• Jesus promises His presence to be with those who are believers in Him, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

  • Believers are not left comfortless, without a Helper (John 14:16,18). We have a Helper; the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, Who is with us in our heavenly journey on the earth (John 14:26; Romans 8:14,26).
  • The Helper, the Holy Spirit, would watch over you, guide you, teach you, and bring to your remembrance whatever you had been taught (John 14:16-18,26; 16:13).
  • God has a good plan for every believer in Christ Jesus. A Helper, in the person of the Holy Spirit, has been prepared, to assist in the journey of our life.
  • The presence of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, is the presence of Jesus Christ in you (John 16:13-15; Romans 8:9). Thus, your fellowship with the Holy Spirit has to be built and developed.
  • You are not alone in all you do, Jesus is with you. And If you are not aware of this, and not always Acknowledge the presence of God, Jesus (John 17:21), in the person of the Holy Spirit, in your life; the devil may take advantage of your Ignorance—Rob you of the benefits you supposed to derive in your fellowshipping with God.

• You are not alone.

  • Greater is the One in you than he who is in the world: "YOU ARE OF GOD, little children, and have overcome them, BECAUSE HE WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD" (1 John 4:4 NKJV).
  • Be convinced and conscious of God's presence on the inside of you, and always Acknowledge it (Proverbs 3:5,6).
  • Carry God along in whatever you do.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ Jesus, and His presence is with you: "BUT YOU ARE NOT IN THE FLESH BUT IN THE SPIRIT, IF INDEED THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN YOU. NOW IF ANYONE DOES NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE [she] IS NOT HIS" (Romans 8:9 NKJV).
  • If you had consciously forsaken your Sin and asked Jesus Christ to come into your life, He has come as you have requested or asked (Luke 11:13).
  • When you forsook your sins, you stopped living in Sin, through the act, you have given Jesus a room, a place or chance, to operate in your life fully:
"BEHOLD, I [Jesus] STAND AT THE DOOR [of your heart] AND KNOCK. IF ANYONE HEARS MY VOICE AND OPENS THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM [her] AND DINE WITH HIM [her], AND HE [she] WITH ME" (Revelation 3:20 NKJV).
    READ: Romans 6:12-14
  • Sin would block your access to Jesus Christ. He loves you, but hates Sin (Ephesians 4:21-24). If you can do away with Sin, He will come to stay, and abide with you.
  • The presence of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, gives guidance and protection. Through the person of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you; you are led and received a help to obey and do God's Will—when you allowed and cooperated with the Holy Spirit to work (John 14:26; 16:13-15; Romans 8:14,26,27).
  • The Holy Spirit on the inside of you, would make your Christian life fruitful and productive (John 15:2,16).
    a. Through the presence of the Holy Spirit, your relationship and fellowshipping with God the Father and Jesus Christ, is strengthened and solidified.
    b. Also, through the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, you are enabled to live above the flesh and Sin (Galatians 5:16-18). You cannot live above sin by wishful thinking. You deliberately and consciously present your body a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1).

• Also, the forces or powers of darkness cannot be overcomed by physical strength (1 Samuel 2:9).

  • The powers of darkness are prevailed over through the help of the Holy Spirit on the inside of whoever is of God (Romans 8:9).
  • Thus, you have to get established in your fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Acknowledge Him in all you do or want to do, ask for His help, even when you seem to know what to do, still, ask Him to help you in doing whatever you want to do—lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-7).
  • The Holy Spirit is likened to a dove, which symbolizes peace, gentleness, or quietness. If you invited Him not, that is, you did not carry Him along in whatever you wanted to do, He might not talk and bother to be involved.
  • Neglecting the Holy Spirit amounted to pride in the sight of God. How would you have the Helper on the inside of you, and refused to ask for His help. Whereas, He is resident on your inside for that purpose.
  • If a problem arose because you failed or refused to carry the Holy Spirit along in your plans, you may have to suffer for your self reliance attitude:
4 AND WE HAVE SUCH TRUST THROUGH CHRIST TOWARD GOD. 5 NOT THAT WE ARE SUFFICIENT OF OURSELVES TO THINK OF ANYTHING AS BEING FROM OURSELVES, BUT OUR SUFFICIENCY IS FROM GOD, 6 WHO ALSO MADE US SUFFICIENT AS MINISTERS OF THE NEW COVENANT, NOT OF THE LETTER BUT OF THE SPIRIT; FOR THE LETTER KILLS, BUT THE SPIRIT GIVES LIFE" (2 Corinthians 3:4-6 NKJV).
  • Do not die in Ignorance. Stop struggling alone, God has made a provision for you, you have an Helper on the inside of you, waiting for you to ask for His help in every moment of life and the time of distress (John 14:16-18,26).

• The truth is, no one prevails in the world with physical strength. Even the unbelievers know that the spirit realm controls the physical realm. They usually look for the supernatural help or support in whatever they do or wanted to do. And that of course would be from the devil, since someone who has no relationship with God could not come for His power.
THEY go to the devil for spiritual power in whatever they are doing.

  • The believers in Christ Jesus would need the help and companionship of the Holy Spirit, to succeed in whatever they wanted to do in this world of darkness.
REMEMBER, by physical strength, you cannot prevail (1 Samuel 2:9). And without Christ Jesus, in the person of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, you, as a Believer, can do nothing: “I AM THE VINE, YOU ARE THE BRANCHES. HE WHO ABIDES IN ME, AND I IN HIM, BEARS MUCH FRUIT; FOR WITHOUT ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING" (John 15:5 NKJV).

13 HOWEVER, WHEN HE, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, HAS COME, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH; for He will not speak on His own authority, BUT WHATEVER HE HEARS HE WILL SPEAK; AND HE WILL TELL YOU THINGS TO COME.
14 HE WILL GLORIFY ME, FOR HE WILL TAKE OF WHAT IS MINE AND DECLARE IT TO YOU.
15 All things that the Father has are Mine. THEREFORE I SAID THAT HE WILL TAKE OF MINE AND DECLARE IT TO YOU."
John 16:13–15 (NKJV)
