GOD'S CHASTISEMENT
10 FOR our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. BUT GOD'S DISCIPLINE IS ALWAYS GOOD FOR US, SO THAT WE MIGHT SHARE IN HIS HOLINESS.
11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way."
Hebrews 12:10,11 (NLT)
• God's discipline or chastisement is always hard, not palatable, but If you did allow Him to have His way in your life, you would share in His holiness.
a. You become a partaker of God's nature in righteousness; holiness, love, and power (Colossians 3:12,14).
b. God's attributes would begin to manifest in your life (Galatians 5:22,23).
- A believer cannot manifest the true nature of God without being submissive to His discipline (2 Peter 1:4).
- Those who dodge God's discipline or chastisement, who rebel when He corrected them, cannot fully partake in His power, wisdom, and glory: "FOR WE HAVE BECOME PARTAKERS OF CHRIST IF WE HOLD THE BEGINNING OF OUR CONFIDENCE STEADFAST TO THE END" (Hebrews 3:14 NKJV).
- Whatever you are seeking or looking for is found in your submission to God; when you allow Him to have His way in all you do—in all your endeavours.
- God's way is not always easy, obeying His commands or instructions is not always palatable, but there is always a reward at the end of the day (Proverbs 3:11,12).
- The reward is God's nature of holiness, love, wisdom, and other attributes of His that are found in the Bible.
- Partaking in God's nature entails sufferings or challenges and disciplines or chastisements (Hebrews 5:8).
- Until you humble yourself to receive disciplines from God when needed, It is then you are ready for honour, power, fulfilment, and glory.
- There is no chance in the Kingdom, It is either you accept God's way or you are put aside without His blessings.
- God is faithful and thorough, He would not condone any Sin—rebellion or any form of unfaithfulness.
- God is thorough, you have to be serious If you actually wanted to walk with Him.
• There is a plan of God for every believer, but the plan can only be accomplished when the believer yielded to Him and follow His ways earmarked for him or her.
- The plan of God is not changeable or amendable to accommodate your own will; you would be the one to adjust and agree with His plans and programmes—His way or pattern of doing things.
- Thus, allow God to prune you that you might produce more fruit, produce maximally (John 15:2).
- Let God also mould you that you might be beautified and your life be colourful (Isaiah 64:8; Jeremiah 18:6).
- The truth is; there is no fulfilment outside God. There is no life without Christ, and no progress without Him (John 15:5).
- There is a reward of eternal life at the end, as you obey God (2 Timothy 4:8).
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' mighty name.
- Whatever is not of God in your body, which was not planted by Him, such is rebuked and completely uprooted in Jesus' mighty name.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
