LAWLESSNESS WILL ABOUND
FRIDAY 18
“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”
Matthew 24:12 (NKJV)
READ: Matthew 24:3–14
We are at the time which the Bible says lawlessness will abound and increase, in which love of many will wax cold (Matthew 24:12). At the present time, because of many odd things being said about the professed believers and many ministers of the gospel, the love of many are growing cold.
We could see ministers embezzling church’s money, some are entrenched in blatant sins, and many are into things
that should not be heard of a believer, not to mention of a minister:
3 BUT FORNICATION AND ALL UNCLEANNESS OR COVETOUSNESS, LET IT NOT EVEN BE NAMED AMONG YOU, AS IS FITTING FOR SAINTS;
4 NEITHER FILTHINESS, NOR FOOLISH TALKING, NOR COARSE JESTING, WHICH ARE NOT FITTING, BUT RATHER GIVING OF THANKS.
5 FOR THIS YOU KNOW, THAT NO FORNICATOR, UNCLEAN PERSON, NOR COVETOUS MAN, WHO IS AN IDOLATER, HAS ANY INHERITANCE IN THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST AND GOD.
6 LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU WITH EMPTY WORDS, FOR BECAUSE OF THESE THINGS THE WRATH OF GOD COMES UPON THE SONS OF DISOBEDIENCE.
7 THEREFORE DO NOT BE PARTAKERS WITH THEM

It is difficult for some people to believe that there are genuine ministers today. Some who have been victims of manipulation from so-called ministers or prophets of God and have vowed not to attend any church meetings or Christian gatherings again.
Lawlessness is on the increase as the Bible says it shall be (2 Timothy 3:1–5; 2 Timothy 4:3,4); and the love of many is growing or waxing cold. The fact that lawlessness is on the increase does not mean God has gone to sleep, He is still on the throne and He is still at work, and He knows those who are His (2 Timothy 2:19).
You should not allow what you see in the church, or the body of Christ, to discourage you and cause you to wax
cold in your relationship with God. You should not make any human being your standard but Jesus’ Christ. He should be the One you look onto, because He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Jesus is the only One you should fix your gaze on, and be transformed and changed to His image, from glory to glory as you behold Him (2 Corinthians 3:18). If you allowed your gaze to be shifted from Christ to any other person, you will surely be disappointed!
One major thing which you should learn from Christ Jesus is, He endure the cross because of the Joy set before Him
(Hebrews 12:2).
You also should endure whatever you are confronted with presently, because of the Joy of being with Christ when He appears to take the elects home (John 14:1–3; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; Revelation 1:7).
