STRONG DELUSION TO BELIEVE THE LIE
10 AND WITH ALL UNRIGHTEOUS DECEPTION AMONG THOSE WHO PERISH, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT RECEIVE THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH, that they might be saved.
11 And for this reason GOD WILL SEND THEM STRONG DELUSION, THAT THEY SHOULD BELIEVE THE LIE.”
2 Thessalonians 2:10,11 (NKJV)
If God has been sending His Word to someone or a group of people, to change from evil things they have been doing, but they do not heed–He may allow them to have their way and believe the lie of the enemy, the devil.
The passage says God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie (2 Thessalonians 2:11).
Do not despise the riches of God’s goodness: “OR DO YOU DESPISE THE RICHES OF HIS GOODNESS, FORBEARANCE, AND LONGSUFFERING, NOT KNOWING THAT THE GOODNESS OF GOD LEADS YOU TO REPENTANCE?” (Romans 2:4 NKJV)
• Some could have found peace in life, but they did not accept God’s offer of salvation; they refused to love and accept the truth that would save them 2 Thessalonians 2:10).
• Now, not only on salvation, some could have found direction for their lives but they refused God’s leading on the plans He has for their lives.
• Also, God has sent His servants to some people, to feed them with His Word and pray for them, that they might be delivered from their predicament; but they did not heed the messenger sent to them, they trivialised what he told them (Hebrews 4:2).
“YET FOR MANY YEARS YOU HAD PATIENCE WITH THEM, AND TESTIFIED AGAINST THEM BY YOUR SPIRIT IN YOUR PROPHETS. YET THEY WOULD NOT LISTEN; THEREFORE YOU GAVE THEM INTO THE HAND OF THE PEOPLES OF THE LANDS.”

If you failed to accept what God has offered you, He may allow you to accept deception (2 Thessalonians 2:11).
If you are called to walk with God, live a practical Christian life, but you refused; God may allow you to have your way, but not without sufferings (Hebrews 3:12,13; 4:11).
11 “BUT THEY REFUSED TO HEED, SHRUGGED THEIR SHOULDERS, AND STOPPED THEIR EARS SO THAT THEY COULD NOT HEAR.
12 "YES, THEY MADE THEIR HEARTS LIKE FLINT, REFUSING TO HEAR THE LAW AND THE WORDS WHICH THE LORD OF HOSTS HAD SENT BY HIS SPIRIT THROUGH THE FORMER PROPHETS. Thus great wrath came from the Lord of hosts.
