YOU ARE A SLAVE TO WHATEVER OVERCOMES YOU 2

18 FOR WHEN THEY SPEAK GREAT SWELLING WORDS OF EMPTINESS, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, THEY THEMSELVES ARE SLAVES OF CORRUPTION; FOR BY WHOM A PERSON IS OVERCOME, BY HIM ALSO HE IS BROUGHT INTO BONDAGE.
20 FOR IF, AFTER THEY HAVE ESCAPED THE POLLUTION OF THE WORLD THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, THEY ARE AGAIN ENTANGLED IN THEM AND OVERCOME, THE LATTER END IS WORSE FOR THEM THAN THE BEGINNING.
21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT,” and, “A SOW, HAVING WASHED, TO HER WALLOWING IN THE MIRE."
2 Peter 2:18–22 (NKJV)

Some so-called believers do believe that someone who is born-again cannot be cast away at the end of his or her journey on earth, regardless of what the person does.
But such a statement or an idea is not consistent with the Word of God, the Bible. Apostle Paul said: "IT IS MY OWN BODY THAT I HIT. I MAKE IT MY SLAVE. I DO THIS SO THAT I MYSELF WILL NOT BE REJECTED AFTER I HAVE PREACHED TO OTHERS" (1 Corinthians 9:27 — International Children’s Bible).
If Apostle Paul who laboured so much, who wrote about half of the new testament, believed that he could be rejected If he was not circumspect or careful and discipline his body; and not allow it to be enslaved or entangled with sin.
THEN Who are you to think you can never miss it—no matter how you live, even with that blatant sin in your life—thinking you cannot be rejected you would still make heaven. Who told you that, and where did you find It in the Bible?

If you used to be a believer in Christ Jesus, but now you have backslidden, you are back in your vomit, your old lifestyles or habits; I will enjoin you to run back to the cross and ask for mercy and forgiveness, before It is too late for you.
Instead of arguing, trying to justify your waywardness and obnoxious life; I want to believe that running to the cross and ask for forgiveness should be what you should do, and not trying to justify the wrong things you are doing.

Whoever used to be a consecrated believer, who has backslidden but such is trying to justify his or her new wayward life, such would have their latter end worse than their beginning (2 Peter 2:20).
The Scripture has this to say about such a person:
21 FOR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER FOR THEM NOT TO HAVE KNOWN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAN HAVING KNOWN IT, TO TURN FROM THE HOLY COMMANDMENT DELIVERED TO THEM. 22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT,” AND, “A SOW, HAVING WASHED, TO HER WALLOWING IN THE MIRE" (2 Peter 2:21,22 NKJV).

Excuse me, I want you to be sincere in your heart, Are you back in your old sinful habits which you forsook when you newly accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? In other words, Are you enslaved or entangled again in your old sinful habits or lifestyles?
If you are, you have to do something about it now, tomorrow might be too late. Retrace your steps back to God, repent and be reconciled to Him (2 Corinthians 5:20).
The passage of the Bible above says; It would have been better not to have known the way of righteousness or salvation than, having known It but turn away from it (2 Peter 2:21).

1 WE THEN, AS WORKERS TOGETHER WITH HIM [God] ALSO PLEAD WITH YOU NOT TO RECEIVE THE GRACE OF GOD IN VAIN.
2 FOR He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” BEHOLD, NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME; BEHOLD, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION."
2 Corinthians 6:1,2 (NKJV)

You will not fail in Jesus' name.
• Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare your healing in Jesus' name.
• Whatever is not planted in your body that is working against your health and wellness is cursed and completely uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
