JUST BEFORE YOU JUDGE ESAU...
Whenever the name 'Esau' (Gen 25) is mentioned or discussed about, one thought readily comes to the mind; he was too carefree, he was a fool! oh! what a glutton he must have been! and all of that.
However, when we take a closer look at his life, we see that he had no idea of the value of his birthright and so he asked "of what value is it to me when I am about to die?." To him, a plate of pottage could do him much more good than it ever could and so, he traded it.
Few years down the line, we see his nephew rejecting a far better offer just to ensure that he preserves his purpose
Joseph had a vivid picture of his dream and so, Madam Potiphar and all her offers of free sex, food, special treatment were too little to cause him to trade his dream!
Just before you place one arm akimbo and use the other to point an accusing finger at Esau, please ensure that you have got a dream; a vision that is worth more than all that the world could ever offer to you!
