Forgotten candy found in quarantine cleaning

Side effect of the quarantine cleaning - finally deciding to trash the boxes of the christmas chocolate calendar and finding 1 forgotten candy. Was happy for a moment until found out, it was expired in April of 2019. WHY did they put 2 candies for the December 6th???
