MARUTI SUZUKI CIAZ 2018 FACELIFT. AN IMPROVED LOOK AND DESIGN TO DRIVE ON THE COMPETITION

Suzuki motors had in august unveiled the new ‘Suzuki Alivio Pro’ at the 2017 Chengdu Motor Show. This is what is sold as the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in India and until recently, there was no news of it.

Some Leaked spy images have been circulating the internet for the car doing tests on Indian Roads, but heavily camoflauged. Lets see what changes can we expect, and whether the China version retains its elements, when it comes to India.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Exterior and Design

While the vehicle spotted has been taped heavily and is difficult to identify, the overall and character and look of the vehicle seems to be the same.

The front grill which, yet not definable in the pictures, seems to have a new front grill and new style badging.

While there seems to be no changes on the sides, the rear seems to have new style LED Tail-lamps and some chrome finiosh was also spotted.

Alll this seems to be in line with what the competition are doing in this segment and coming up to speed, maybe even ahead of them in some cases.

Ciaz 2018 Interiors and Convenience

Though there are no spy pictures or any signs of what the interiors could be in the Indian version, most of us are looking forward to Maruti keeping up with market trend and offer a premium version with All Leather/Black Leatherine interiors.

It is expected that Maruti will definetly retain the Smart Audio System with Android Auto and Apple Car Play like being found in all its revamped models.

The rumour mills also suggest things like cruise control, electronic seat adjust with memory, but it seems quite unlikely as all of this will take the cost up which might not be competitive, especially keeping the latest implementation of GST on the luxury segment.

Engine

We expect Maruti to retain its 1.4L Petrol and 1.3L DdiS engine, though rumor mills also suggest a third variant with a more powerful 1.6L Engine as optional.

The launch of the vehicle is yet unknown but we can expect some news about it in the months to come and expect an early 2018 launch.
