CineAtlas 60 | Week 2 — 3 Shots Story | [Akwanga Market]
I visited a popular market in my town. The market is one of the busiest in the town and it is located by the roadside along the Jos plateau road, Makurdi road, and the Keffi-Abuja road. Let's see what we have in my three-shot photo.
Wide Shot (Establish the Place)
The wide shot that I took from afar shows a busy roadside of the market in Akwanga town. From the shot, you can see motorcycles riding along the road, and in the background, there are large buildings, a watchtower, and communication masts.
Also, many traders are under the colourful umbrella selling goods while customers move around the stalls. The photo shoot gives a clear view of a lively marketplace in Nigeria where daily activities and small businesses are taking place
Medium Shot (Show the Action / Subject)
In this shot, several people are interacting around the market stalls. Some traders sit beside baskets of goods while other traders are attending to customers.
A motorcycle rider with his passenger was riding trying to cross my way. Also, there was a white car being parked outside, and the owner went inside the market to buy something. The umbrellas provide shade for traders and buyers as they continue their business in the heat of the day due to the hot weather.
Close-up (Reveal a Detail / Emotion / Conclusion)
The photo shot above shows a motorcycle rider waiting for passengers and traders carefully displaying their goods on small trays and tables.
Some customers walk into the market whereas some are seen stepping out of the market. The umbrellas stand out with bright colours, symbolising the hardworking nature and resilience in the community that relies on daily market activities for its livelihood.
Video
I began capturing the video from the Jos road axis of the market to the main market itself. The video shows traders who are selling by the roadside and how busy the road is.

I believe this market place are well organized for the easy movement of the people and vehicle which show that we can easily buy whatever we need without wasting much of our time. Your article is straightforward where you explained everything about the market place called Akwanga., although this is my first time of heard about this place, whenever I have the opportunity to visit Nasarawa state I will try as much as possible to move around this commercial center. Best of luck in the contest
Indeed you will enjoy the market if you visit the market. Thanks for your support

You have beautifully presented these scenes of the market as a story through three shots.
Each picture captures the atmosphere of the place and the feeling of people's daily lives well.
Thank you for presenting ordinary moments in such a beautiful way, I really liked the post.
Thank you for stopping by.
Seems like you visited a busy market at a brisk pace and covered shoppers' activities. I felt your markets have enough space to walk compared to Indian markets which are too crowded. I wish you all the best!
Yeah, there are enough places to walk in the market and the reason is that there are other markets and it wasn't the main market day.
