Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, has approved plans for a new men's Club World Cup with 32 teams.

Seven clubs are currently in the running for the championship, with Chelsea serving as the current winner after defeating United Arab Emirates' Palmeiras in the postponed 2021 edition in February.

FIFA also announced plans to launch the FIFA World Series, an annual friendly competition that would "expand the opportunities for teams from other confederations to participate against each other."

Real Madrid, Flamengo, Seattle Sounders, and the first American to win the CONCACAF Champions League compete in Morocco, along with other international champions.
