From the first moment you meet someone who is making judgements about how much he like you.  Fortunately, there are some tip to improve it.

人們會在第一次見面時就會決定對你的好感程度。幸運的是這邊有些小技巧可以提昇這個情形。

Some kind of people who can walk into a room full of strangers but then get 10 new friends, a lunch date for the next day, can get business contract for company.

某些人可以在進入一個充滿陌生人的房間，交到十個朋友，並在隔天的午餐就可以為公司拿下一個合同。

 What makes these lucky guys so easy to make it when many of us have to work so hard at it?  Maybe you believe social skill or winning people's trust is something of art, there is something of science inside too. 

當我們再努力工作的時候，為什麼這些幸運的傢伙可以這麼簡單做到這些? 也許你會覺得社交技巧和贏得他人信任是一種藝術，但其實裏頭也含有一些科學。

 The reason that determine our success to win other people's trust, and the impressions we make them feel, can start  before we meet them.  Research has proven the people we meet often make judgements about us based purely on the way we look.  People can make judgements about someone's likeability, trustworthiness and competence after seeing their face for less than a tenth of a second . 

決定我們取得他人信任的因素，以及別人對我們的印象，可以在彼此互相見面前就開始準備。研究指出我們遇到的人，會根據我的們樣貌來對我們做出評斷。人們可以在不到十分之一秒的時間，判斷對這個人的喜好和信任還有其能力程度。

Dominance are highly related to attractiveness which are highly dependent on facial expressions.  Making a judgement on something so superficial might seem rash, but we do it all the time without even realising. For example, it might effect who you vote for.  Research showed that facial characteristics have been successful in predicting the outcomes of elections including US , Bulgarian , French , Mexican and Brazilian politicians.

領導地位與吸引力有高度相關，特別是面部表情，膚淺的做出這些評斷似乎有些草率，但我們其實一直在做這樣的事，自己並沒有發現。舉個例子，他會影響到你投票的人。研究顯示出面部特徵已經成功預測了美國、保加利亞、法國、墨西哥、巴西的政治家選舉結果。

 The judgements we make about someone's face can effect our financial too.  In a test , borrowers who were perceived as looking less trustworthy were less chance to get loans on a lending site. Lenders were making these judgements based on appearance although having information about the borrowers employment status and credit history. 

對一個人的面貌下判斷也會影響到我們的財務。在一個測試當中，借款人被感覺看起來缺乏誠信，在借貸網站借道的前的機率就會下降。即使放款人擁有借款人的就業狀況、信用紀錄，但還是會依據外觀去做判斷。

 Of course, You don't need plastic surgery, it is possible to alter your expressions and smile.  People will perceive a smiling face as more trustworthy, warmer and sociable.  For those situations where our first impression has not been as good as we hoped. We can still impress people and they will forget that initial judgement. 

當然不需要去整容，我們可以改變表情並且面帶微笑。人們會覺得一個面帶笑容的人是值得信賴的而且溫暖和善。如果我們給人的第一印象不是我們所希望的那樣，別擔心，我們仍然可以再打動人們讓他們忘記最初對我們的評斷。

Being likeable can have benefits in business. Entrepreneurs with better social skills are more likely to be successful and workers will work harder.  Interpersonal skills are becoming increasingly important in the workplace.

討人喜歡可以在事業上帶來好處，企業家有著好的社交手段有比較高的機會成功，也可以讓員工更加努力工作，人際交往也成為職場上重要的技能。

 So what can the rest of us do to be more charming?  Let's starts with a simple flash of the eyebrows.  Our brains are always surveying the environment for friend or enemy signals . The three major things we do when we approach somebody that signal we are not a threat. An eyebrow flash - A quick up and down movement of the eyebrow with a slight tilt head, and a smile.

所以我們該做些甚麼增加魅力?讓我們先從眉毛開始。我們的大腦總是在偵測環境裡的友好或敵意信號。這邊有三個主要的信號是代表我們不具有威脅，快速地抖一下眉毛，頭可以稍微斜一邊帶著微笑。

 Next key to likability is that don't talking about yourself.  If you show a geninue interest in what they are saying, they're going to like you. By maintaining that level of eye contact, it will give the impression of interest. Making empathic feedback that might make someone feel good.

 接下來的關鍵是不要談論自己，如果你表現得很真誠再傾聽他們所說的話，他們會比較喜歡你，透過眼神接觸的程度，這會讓你表現得對他們所說的話很感興趣。帶有感情的回應可以讓他人感覺更好。
