For the Lumens distribution program, a snapshot of all bitcoin holdings was taken at midnight on June 26th (UTC/GMT). So if you hold any bitcoin at that time, you are able to claim your share of Lumens according to the amount of bitcoin you held when the snapshot was taken. You are able to claim 986.683 Lumens for every bitcoin you held.

Byteball distribution to be held on July 9
Byteball(GBYTE)的分发在7月19号
After claiming your Lumens, on July 9, if you still have some BTC, you can link your BTC wallet with a Byteball wallet, and after the snapshot on July 9, you will also receive a distribution of GBYTE according to how much BTC you hold at the time the snapshot is taken. To all the Bitcoin holders using Coinbase, just be aware that in order to claim Stellars you need to know the verification signature.
It's prety easy to do, just make a quick Google search on it.
Coinbase is NOT allowing anyone to participate in Altcoin ICO's using their platform. You can sign messages, but not for this particular event. They claim it is because of their technology and their use of cold storage, but probably mostly just because they don't like working with FinTech startups.

Actually you are completely right, man, guess than the only option would be to transfer coins to some other platform or cold storage.
Yeah, any storage that uses private keys would be the best way to go. Trouble is, if the account was not live and funded before the 29th? of June, then the snapshot of the account won't exist.
Yes I know, and shitty Poloniex did a number on me; after STR team announced Polo being in the game for giveaway I assumed I have nothing to worry about. And recently, days after deadline, the exchange came out with the statement that they know nothing about it and won't take part in STR distribution. They basically stole our share of the giveaway. They are on the fast track to becoming the shittiest exchange ever. Avoid them.
Yes I heard about that. I think a lot of Polo users got caught out by that. Never been a fan of Polo.
Polo needs to behave otherwise other competitor will kick polo out.
