[Travel Blog]Travelling with Ray to Snowdonia, Wales #3 Whole Trip Highlights

Today, I want to bring you guys to Snowdonia National Park which is located in Northern Wales. It is one of the most famous national parks in Britain. You can do different outdoor activities like hiking, rock climbing, camping or even kayaking. In October of 2017, I spent a weekend there for hiking and climbing and it was wonderful.

今次，我帶大家來到位於北威爾斯的Snowdonia國家公園，這是英國其中一個最出名的國家公園。你可以進行各式各樣的戶外活動，例如行山，攀岩，露營，甚至划艇。在2017年的十月，我在那裡渡過了一個週末，並進行了行山及攀岩的活動。

Hiking

The first activity was hiking. We chose the most popular route - Capel Curig because it is the most beautiful part of Snowdonia. From my Garmin watch, it is 19.21km long, with an elevation between 300 to 1000m and we totally spent around 7 hours to finish it. It was not that tough for me as I hike a lot but it may be hard for some of you.

第一個活動是行山。我們選擇了最多人行走的路段 - Capel Curig，因為這條路是整個國家公園的精華所在。由我的Garmin手錶得知，這條路總長19.21公里，海拔大約在300米與1000米之間，總共用了7小時。對於我這個經常行山的人來常，並不太難，但對於少運動的人來說，可能會累一點。

However, it started with a bad, foggy and rainy weather. Everyone was disappointed because we could not see anything at all. Luckily, it was not heavy rain, so we could still hike and not get wet.

但是，一開始的天氣非常差，大霧加下雨。每個人都十分失望因為什麼景色都看不見。但慶幸的是，這不是一埸大雨，因此我們還可以繼續行走，身體也不至於濕透。

I wish the weather was good when hiking on this ridge because it is really amazing when I saw other hikers post their photos on the internet. Another thing needs to be pay attention is that we need to stick together in the mist. Otherwise, we would not find each other again.

我真的希望當時的天氣是好天，因為其後我在網上看到的照片是十分漂亮的。另一個要注意的事情是在霧中應緊隨著隊友，及留意身邊的隊友有沒有突然消失，因為消失了很難尋回他們。

In the end, the sun suddenly came out from the clouds and the mist started to disappear. Everyone immediately started taking photos. And you can see how amazing it was.

到最後，太陽竟然從雲中沖出來，霧亦開始散開。每個人都立刻捉緊時間拍攝。你可以看到當時的景色是如此美麗。

Climbing

Next event was climbing. Everyone needed to learn how to belay first. I have some experience in indoor climbing but outdoor climbing is my first time. Compare to the indoor one, it is more exciting and challenging because you need to find the holds by yourself. And it was stressful as I am a bit afraid of height actually but I could overcome it and get to the top eventually.

第二日的活動是攀岩，在攀爬前，每個人都要學會在下面做支援。我有一些室內攀石經驗，但是戶外攀岩是我的第一次。與室內攀石相比，戶外攀岩更刺激，和更有挑戰性，因為你要自己尋找手位腳位，沒有人能夠幫助你。同時，心理壓力也更大，因為我有一些畏高，但我最後都能夠成功克服心理關口，登上山頂。
