Is React worth learning if I'm not going to do front-end?

I have recently started learning web development and I'm really enjoying javascript/typescript, but I noticed that if I wanted to find a job in that area, I would need to know React, which I find very confusing. I'm really not interested in frontend, so would it be fine to stick with javascript only?

I follow many channels that introduce new libraries that could possibly replace React in the future, so why bother learning it now? Please enlighten me and help me make a good decision.
